Job Description:
Job DescriptionManage daily systems maintenance and water
quality of (Resort Pools and Spa) to insure the safety and
well-being of guests enjoying our resort. Responsibilities include
but not limited to; pump repairs, chemical feeders, heating systems
maintenance, inspections, cleanliness and inventory of safety
supplies and controls. Essential Responsibilities:
- Performing and documenting regular water testing in accordance
with all Encore Resort Policies including- Chlorine, pH,
alkalinity, combined chlorines, and calcium hardness
- Pumps, motors and heating systems maintenance
- Reporting and recording actions to Facilities Manager
- Backwashing, cleaning filters, vacuuming pools and pressure
washing
- Completing AM inspections and work orders as needed in
Facilities Management Software
- Ensure all water quality requirements are met including, but
not limited to, testing water, recording test results, and addition
of chemicals
- Implement and monitor opening and closing procedures to comply
with safety and cleanliness requirements
- Inspect equipment including mechanical operations and leisure
areas; to maintain and uphold quality standards
- Coordinates and oversees all vendor work being done to insure
completion of work as expected and manages any scheduling
requirements for vendor work to be completed
- Understand and apply all policies, rules and regulations
consistently
- Project and maintain positive relations/interactions with
guest
- Comply with state and county inspections to assure the Aqua
Park is compliant with all rules and regulations
- Performs other duties as assigned, requested or deemed
necessary by managementOther Responsibilities
- Administer and ensure enforcement of rules and
regulations.
- Ensure that appropriate records are kept and that the
preparation of local, state, and federal reports, including all
safety checks and reports, are timely and accurate.
- Attend regularly scheduled staff meetings and training programs
as required
- Oversee and assist in maintaining the facilities as related to
orderliness, cleanliness, and safetyKnowledge/SkillsThorough
knowledge of commercial pool operations, including the following
certifications:
- Certified Pool Operator Certification and/or Aquatic Facility
Operator
- Thorough knowledge of the aquatic facilities, equipment and
services available to clients
- Must be fluent in oral and written English
- Requires knowledge of policies and procedures
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working
relationships with staff and public
- Ability to interpret, apply and explain applicable rules and
regulations
- Utilize sound independent judgment
- Understand and follow oral and written instructionsAbilities
- Ability to lift, push, pull and carry aquatic or other
equipment on a daily basis; 20-40 lbs and sometimes items up to 100
pounds
- Mobility 95% of shift covering facilities in the resort. May
require quick, sudden movements both in and out of water at depths
of up to five feet
- Swimming Able to swim and general comfort in and around water
attractions
- Climbing stairs and ladders
- Working outside in all seasons and elements.Education/Formal
Training
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Certified Pool Operator Certification / Aquatic Facility
Operator
- AED/CPR/First Aid CertifiedExperience
- One year of commercial swimming pool experience.
- One to three years maintenance or engineering experience in
aquatic environments preferred
- Working knowledge of chemical feeding systems preferred
- Knowledge of water heating systems
- Computer applications such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Facilities
