At Disney, you 'll help inspire that magic by enabling our teams to push the limits of entertainment and create the never-before-seen The Electrical Instrumentation & Controls Technician is responsible for the maintenance and calibration of RCID Utility plants control systems. The technician will also be responsible for the maintenance and monitoring of all instrumentation devices. The field service position may include work from elevated platforms and confined spaces throughout the Walt Disney World Parks and Resort property. Responsibilities : Provide instrumentation, process control, network, and SCADA support services Provide emergency response and assist with service restoration in utility system outage conditions Perform preventative, predictive and corrective maintenance on all utility (waste water, chilled and hot water energy plants) process control systems, including PLCs Use electronic testing devices such as digital o-scopes, signal generators and other calibrators Cast members may be required to handle cleaning chemicals and supplies Additional Personal Protective Equipment (face shields, goggles, refillable hand sanitizers, etc.) may be required Basic Qualifications : Valid Florida driver 's license Skilled at installing, troubleshooting, and calibrating industrial rated pressure, flow, temperature, level detection devices and systems Previous experience with several of the following: transducers, VFD', automatic valves, SCADA equipment, voltage and current transducers, remote communications and PLCs Possess the ability to interpret blueprints and flow charts Ability to lift up to 50 pounds Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills Ability to pass a technical knowledge, role-specific written assessment and interview Proficiency in standard office software programs and mobile electronic devices Preferred Qualifications: Associates degree in an engineering field or equivalent technical or military technical training Preferred Education : Associates degree in an engineering field or equivalent technical or military technical training Five years of continuous service as a process control and instrumentation technician for a major electric, water or wastewater utility company Additional Information : Schedule Availability: Our Theme Parks and Resort Hotels operate 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
