Company Overview: Our client is a leading player in the asphalt and concrete construction industry in Central Florida and is seeking an asphalt raker / shoveller.Position Summary: The successful candidate shall have at least 2 years of hands-on experience with asphalt, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to operate specialized equipment safely and effectively. Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in the preparation of asphalt mix by measuring and mixing components according to specifications.
• Distribute and spread asphalt on roadways, driveways, and other surfaces to ensure a smooth and even layer.
• Coordinate with team members to efficiently complete asphalt application and compaction tasks.
• Utilize tools such as lutes and hand rakes to smooth, level, and finish asphalt surfaces.
• Inspect finished surfaces for quality and uniformity, making necessary adjustments to achieve desired results.
• Wear and maintain appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times.
• Adhere to all company safety policies and OSHA regulations to maintain a safe working environment. Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Minimum of 2 years in asphalt application is required.
  • A valid driver's license is required
  • Ability to lift heavy materials, stand for extended periods, and work outside in the heat.
