Company Overview: Our client is a leading player in the asphalt and concrete construction industry in Central Florida and is seeking an asphalt raker / shoveller.Position Summary: The successful candidate shall have at least 2 years of hands-on experience with asphalt, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to operate specialized equipment safely and effectively. Key Responsibilities:Assist in the preparation of asphalt mix by measuring and mixing components according to specifications. Distribute and spread asphalt on roadways, driveways, and other surfaces to ensure a smooth and even layer.Coordinate with team members to efficiently complete asphalt application and compaction tasks.Utilize tools such as lutes and hand rakes to smooth, level, and finish asphalt surfaces.Inspect finished surfaces for quality and uniformity, making necessary adjustments to achieve desired results.Wear and maintain appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times.Adhere to all company safety policies and OSHA regulations to maintain a safe working environment. Qualifications:High school diploma or equivalent is required.Minimum of 2 years in asphalt application is required.A valid driver's license is requiredAbility to lift heavy materials, stand for extended periods, and work outside in the heat.Proficiency in operating construction equipment and hand tools.
