Job Description:


The Osceola County Comptroller & Clerk of Circuit Court is looking to hire a highly motivated individual willing to grow and develop within a fast-paced environment driven by a culture of service. We are looking for an individual to provide clerical support to the Clerk and Comptroller in his role as Clerk to the Board of County Commissioners.


  • Perform specialized clerical work involving recordkeeping of documents approved by the Board of County Commissioners (BCC).
  • Process ordinances, resolutions, contracts, and other documents from BCC meetings.
  • Perform Value Adjustment Board functions.
  • Communicate effectively with management, government officials, and staff.
  • Record data and ensure that documents are stored, filed, and maintained correctly.
  • Assist with projects to support administrative processes of the Clerk of the Board Department.
  • Perform other duties as assigned. SKILLS & ABILITIES
    • Type 35 WPM
    • Computer skills and knowledge of software applications.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
    • Strong interpersonal skills.
    • Time management and organizational skills.
    • Compliance with all federal, state, and local laws and regulations.
    • Bilingual (preferred) MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
      • High School diploma or GED.
      • Preferred, three (3) years of responsible experience in clerical/secretarial support functions, including applied knowledge in recording minutes and maintaining records, or
      • Equivalent combination of certification, training, and/or experience.
      • Must possess a valid Florida Driver's License.
      • May need to meet the Clerk's testing requirements. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
        • Sitting for long periods of time
        • Talking, hearing, seeing, and repetitive motion
        • Must be able to lift up to 20 lbs
