Poinciana Medical Center is a four-story, 150,000 square foot
hospital with 70 private beds and a six-bed private ICU. We provide
a full range of acute care services including emergency services,
inpatient and outpatient diagnostic imaging, inpatient and
outpatient surgery, cardiac catheterization, laboratory, pharmacy,
and a full range of support services. Our ED is approximately
14,500 square feet and consists of 22 private treatment rooms, an
EMS entrance and a helicopter pad.

Job Duties Description:
Provides organizational performance and contributes to the
continuity and effective operation of the department.
Ensures accuracy and timely submittal of the monthly financial
statements; verifies all monthly journal entries and related
scheduled are accurately completed.
Assists in the monthly closing process and analysis through
accumulation and review of outstanding revenue and expense items
and preparation of the preliminary income statement projection.
Specifically responsible for the accurate reporting of contract
services and rents and leases.
Reconciles specific asset and liability accounts and posts
appropriate journal entries.
Prepares the monthly Operating Report in accurate and timely
manner, and in accordance with departmental standards.
Acts as the gatekeeper for the Non PO Invoicing workflow by
maintaining compliance with policy and insuring that invoices are
processed timely to avoid issues which could affect facilities
Is the primary accounting contact for Kronos handling the day to
day issues which may arise and insures the facility has no
unapproved time during the processing of payroll.
Maintains sufficient understanding of PLUS system and the
accounting departments daily reporting requirements to provide
adequate backup when necessary.
- Provides comprehensive financial analysis to Corporate,
Division, and hospital administration and consultants as requested.
Prepares supporting scheduled for internal and external reporting
including audits and Medicare Cost Reports.
- Associates Degree in Business or Accounting is Required
- BS degree preferred
- 3-5 Years of accounting experience; preferably in a hospital
