Job Title: Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist RN (CVIS RN) Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Cath Lab Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 10 hours Experience: Minimum 2 years in specialty License: Current RN license required Certifications: ACLS, BCLS, RCIS Must-Have: - Proficiency in all aspects of angiography, preparation, assessment, documentation, and monitoring. - Ability to perform a wide range of technical skills during various interventional procedures. - Experience in Electrophysiology Lab and pre/post procedure. - Knowledge of cardiac monitoring and sedation administration. Description: The Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist RN performs within the scope of an RN license. This position requires proficiency in a wide range of technical skills utilized during interventional cardiovascular procedures. The CVIS RN provides efficient, comfortable, and safe examinations for all patients. The role includes preparation, assessment, documentation, and monitoring consistent with department policies and procedures. Collaboration with healthcare team members to ensure high-quality patient care is essential. The position may require on-call duties on a rotating basis. Schedule flexibility is important as the facility reserves the right to modify shift assignments. No weekend requirements are mandated. The CVIS RN will be responsible for monitoring procedural sedation and managing emergency medications. Strict adherence to infection prevention protocols is expected.
