SHIFT: PRN

SCHEDULE: PRN/Per Diem

On Call Registered Nurse for the Operating Room. On Call Schedule only! 5am - 5pm Days plus Weekends only as needed

You would receive a PRN rate, On Call Pay plus any applicable sift differentials.

Must have at least 1 year of RN experience as a Circulating Registered Nurse

Poinciana Medical Center is a four-story, 150,000 square foot hospital with 70 private beds and a 6 private bed ICU. Poinciana Medical Center provides a full range of acute care services including emergency services, diagnostic imaging, inpatient and outpatient surgery, cardiac catheterization, laboratory, pharmacy, and a full range of support services. The Emergency Department is approximately 14,500 square feet and consists of 31 treatment spaces, an EMS entrance and a helicopter pad.

The Registered Nurse is responsible and accountable for the planning, directing, and provision of nursing care to patients in accordance with Florida Nurse Practice Act, physician's orders, recognized nursing techniques, policies, procedures, established standards and administrative policies.

The Recovery RN provides nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures and protocols of the healthcare organization. The tasks and responsibilities include:

* Assesses, plans and evaluates the nursing care needs of the patient in the immediate post-operative or post-procedural period.
* Provides comfort and support for post-operative patients.
* Evaluates responses to treatments and interventions.
* Carries out physician orders.

Qualifications

* Current FL RN license required or appropriate compact licensure. If compact license held, active FL RN license required within 90 days of hire.
* Current BLS certifications thru AHA
* Previous experience in acute care setting
* Previous experience in Circulating experience ad an OR RN preferred
