Job Summary:The position of Hospital Laboratory Director is open for an experienced and qualified candidate who can lead the 24-hour operations of the clinical laboratory, meeting organizational goals and regulatory requirements.ResponsibilitiesThe Laboratory Director will also oversee the operations of the hospital rapid-response laboratories, investigate, recommend and purchase equipment, supplies and instrumentation, provide direction to department personnel, and ensure weekly and monthly corporate key indicators are an accurate measurement of past and current performance. This role also requires developing monitoring systems for the collection, documentation, and reporting of quality assessment and improvement data, preparing and submitting capital expenditure requests, department projections, annual strategic, and budgetary planning.Qualifications:

• The ideal candidate for this position should have a Bachelor's Degree, and a Graduate Degree is helpful, with 5+ years of experience at a supervisory level in a clinical laboratory setting.
• Previous director-level experience in a high-volume lab is preferred.
• A Florida Supervisor's license or the ability to obtain one during the interview process is required, and minimum 3 licensures in the following specialty areas are necessary, with licensure in 5 areas being beneficial:
• Blood Bank/Immunohematology
• Chemistry
• Hematology
• Histology
• Microbiology

The Sign-On and relocation is available on a case-by-case basis.
