Job Description:

We're seeking an experienced and passionate neurologist to join our residency program. This position will require the successful candidate to have at least 3 years of documented leadership, administrative, and academic experience in an ACGME-accredited neurology residency program. Devoting a minimum of 35% FTE (1.75 days/week) of non-clinical time to the administration of the program, the Program Director will be responsible for administration and operations, teaching and scholarly activity, resident recruitment and selection, evaluation, promotion, and disciplinary action, as well as supervising and educating residents in the context of patient care. Roles and Responsibilities: - Administer and oversee all operations of the neurology residency program - Teach and engage in scholarly activity - Recruit and select qualified residents, evaluate their performance, and initiate promotion and disciplinary actions - Supervise and educate resident physicians in the context of patient care - Establish and maintain relationships with local neurologists and other medical practitioners Qualifications: - American Board of Psychiatry & Neurology certification is required - All subspecialties welcome to apply; training in epilepsy, neuromuscular, or movement disorder would be a bonus - At least 3 years of documented leadership, administrative, and academic experience in an ACGME-accredited neurology residency program Experience and Skills: - Strong leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills - Ability to work collaboratively with other departments - Demonstrated teaching and tutoring skills - Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask - Ability to work independently and in a team environment Why Join Us: The successful candidate will have the opportunity to join one of the most comprehensive hospital networks in the nation and will be part of an established residency/fellowship program with Internal Medicine, Endocrinology, Emergency Medicine, OBGYN, Psychiatry, General Surgery, and Neurology.
