active Physical Therapist license and 1 year of Physical Therapy
experience required. Applicants who do not meet these
qualifications will not be considered. A full-time Physical
Therapist (PT) position is available to support multiple schools in
the Tavares, FL area within Lake County Public Schools. This
contract role begins ASAP and runs through May 29, 2026, requiring
onsite presence across several elementary and charter schools. The
role involves delivering school-based physical therapy services to
a caseload of approximately 100 students across various age groups.
This opportunity is ideal for PTs interested in school-based work
with a flexible caseload spread throughout a supportive district.
Key Responsibilities: Provide physical therapy services to students
across multiple elementary and charter schools Collaborate with
school staff to support student mobility and physical development
Manage caseload efficiently while maintaining documentation and
timesheets Participate in district onboarding and credentialing
processes to obtain access badges Coordinate schedules with fellow
PTs assigned to the schools Qualifications & Experience: Licensed
Physical Therapist with current professional licensure Prior
school-based physical therapy experience preferred but not required
Ability to adapt to changing schedules and multiple school
environments Strong communication skills to work effectively with
students, families, and school staff Willingness to complete
district-specific onboarding and credentialing requirements
Location: Tavares, Florida, supporting the following schools:
Umatilla Elementary, Spring Creek Charter, Sorrento Elementary,
Triangle Elementary, Beverly Shores Elementary, Treadway
Elementary, Fruitland Park Elementary, Seminole Springs Elementary
Work Schedule: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week 8-hour workdays with
a 30-minute unpaid break This is a contract position for a
dedicated professional who can thrive in a dynamic school setting
while providing critical physical therapy services to students.
