The ideal candidate will have a strong background in finance and accounting, with a keen understanding of financial trends both within the company and in the general market. The Director of Finance will be responsible for the financial health of our organization, making strategic recommendations to senior management and playing a crucial role in the company's financial strategy, planning, and processes. Responsibilities: The Director of Finance will be responsible for the following: 1. Overseeing, directing, and coordinating the financial activities of the organization, including accounting, treasury, tax, investors relations, payroll, and procurement. 2. Preparing and presenting monthly financial budgeting reports including monthly profit and loss by division, forecast vs. budget by division and weekly cash flow by division. 3. Establishing and executing internal controls over the company's accounting and financial procedures, including budget preparation, monthly and annual financial reports, and advising on long-term business and financial planning. 4. Reviewing all formal finance, HR, and IT related procedures, and implementing operational best practices across the organization. 5. Collaborating with auditing services to ensure proper compliance with all regulations. 6. Developing forecasts and financial objectives for the organization. 7. Identifying and managing business risks and insurance requirements. 8. Providing insightful information to senior executives to aid in long-term and short-term decision making. 9. Leading the Finance department in the development of departmental vision, goals, strategies, and metrics. Qualifications: The ideal candidate for the Director of Finance role will have the following qualifications: 1. Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field. A Master's degree or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification is preferred. 2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior financial managerial position, with a proven track record of success. 3. Advanced knowledge of accounting and financial software and proficiency in MS Excel. 4. Strong understanding of economic and banking processes. 5. Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to drive and motivate performance through effective coaching, influencing, and relationship building. 6. Exceptional communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal. 7. Strong problem solving and creative skills with the ability to exercise sound judgment and make decisions based on accurate and timely analysis. 8. High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation. 9. Experience with creating financial statements, general ledger functions, and the month-end/year-end close process. 10. Excellent analytical and strategic planning skills with an ability to work comfortably with numbers, attention to detail, and a flair for being able to spot issues and anomalies.
