POSITION SUMMARYTo provide professional accounting work related to preparing and maintaining financial statements and records, preparing budgets, reviewing and reconciling accounts, posting journal entries and producing a variety of financial reportsESSENTIAL FUNCTIONSReasonable Accommodations StatementTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential function as well as the physical demands satisfactorily. Reasonable Accommodations may be made to enable qualified individuals with disabilities to perform functions.Essential Functions Statement(s)Work independently with minimal supervisionReconcile balance sheet accounts, including research and correction of variancesReviews and monitors General Ledger account reconciliations on a monthly basis associated with the HOA accounting areaReview accounts payable and cash postings as neededPrepare and post daily journal entries as neededParticipates in the annual budgeting process and prepares input based on key operating indicators providedCreate ad-hoc reporting as neededThis position will be responsible for directing efforts culminating with the monthly closing of the general ledger, including review and analysis of monthly results up to and including closing adjustmentsProvides audit schedules and work papers to enable outside auditors to assess the year end resultsSKILLS & ABILITIESEducation: Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field preferredExperience: 5 or more years of accounting experienceComputer Skills: Microsoft Office with advanced Excel, GL/AP related software, Sage Intacct a plusOther Requirements: Familiar with GAAP, financial reporting and basic audit requirements
