Red Lion Lake Buena Vista is looking for a Accounting Clerk to join our team. This position is a non-exempt full time opportunity. The following position will assist management with all accounting functions including but not limited to General Cashier, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Income Audit, and journal entry posting.Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:General CashierReconcile all cash postings for Resort and prepare Daily Cash Over/Short Reports.Control the main cash vault for issuing change and perform audits on individual cash banksAudit all paid-outs, petty cash, and cash variance notifications for proper explanation and signature.Accounts PayableResponds to vendor inquiries regarding invoice payment.Research and resolve invoice discrepancies and issues.Reviews vendor statements and requests invoice and credit memo copies when necessary.Reviews approved invoices, check requests and employee reimbursements for accurate coding and forwards to the corporate office for payment processing. Accounts Receivable (as backup/support for the Staff Accountant)Sends out billings when appropriate. Process payments and reconcile account details. Contact accounts regarding past due balances as needed.Income AuditComplete the Daily Revenue Report for all outlets and investigate/identify variances if not done by the corporate office.Review all revenue department reports ensuring accurate reporting of revenues and statistics.Participate in the month-end closing process as directed.Performs other duties as assigned by the managerJOB KNOWLEDGE: Two years of related experience or equivalent. Two years of experience in hospitality accounting. Two years of cash handling experience.SKILLS AND APTITUDES: Proficient in Microsoft Office programs. Detail oriented. Organized and efficient. Learns quickly. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Courteous and friendly manner. Good team player. Customer service focus.
